When you become a member of Y/DSA, you get to…
- Participate in a true member-led democracy.
- A small group in power doesn’t make all the decisions in Y/DSA – you do. As a member, you can vote in important chapter decisions, like endorsements, resolutions, campaign direction and priorities, and leadership elections.
- Create a material impact in your community – really.
- Y/DSA is entirely funded by member dues: we don’t seek out external grants or take corporate donations. This allows us to be entirely led by our members, rather than influenced by other groups.
- Dues support the staff, paid political leaders, tech tools, legal fees, and other overhead costs that allow us to empower members to make a material impact in their community.
What if I’m already a DSA member?
Great! Affiliate with your YDSA chapter to become a YDSA member. If there’s no YDSA chapter at your school, fill out our new chapter interest form!
