At university and high school campuses across the country YDSA chapters are building power – and securing monumental wins. This year, YDSA chapters are pushing ICE off their campuses, ending contracts with fascist corporations, winning higher wages for campus workers, and protecting reproductive healthcare for students, just to name a few.
The coming two years will be a bellwether in the fight against fascism with the 2028 presidential race and May Day 2028 general strike right around the corner. In order to prepare for these moments, YDSA chapters across the country are building the power to strike alongside our co-workers by organizing militant, democratic, class-struggle unions, and fighting the establishment by electing socialists to local and national office.
Now it’s time to bring this revolution to your school – sign up for the 2026 Fall Recruitment Drive today!
When you sign up for the Fall Drive you will be plugged into a training tailored to your level of organizing experience. No matter what stage of organizing you’re at – leading a chapter with hundreds of members or just getting started on your own – experienced YDSA campus organizers will be there to support and train you. Check out the different options for how you can get involved this year.
After you attend a training call you’ll be able to get connected with a coach and order your Chapter Building Kit containing a YDSA banner, posters, buttons, and stickers – everything you need to launch a powerful recruitment drive at your school!

Here’s what some YDSA chapters have been winning this year. Sign up for the Fall Drive today, and this could happen at your school next!
Socialism isn’t just growing across the country— it’s winning too.

YDSA is building a better world! Across the nation, chapters are fighting fascism and growing socialism. Even in places like Florida, where repression is strongest, chapters are fighting back with the University of Florida YDSA kicking DHS out of the UF career fair!
As soon as you plant a rose on your campus, your new YDSA chapter can make a huge impact. New chapters like Saint Mary’s College of Maryland have won sanctuary campuses while others like Pennsbury High School close in on ending student lunch debt! YDSA chapters are learning to build long-term power structures that can outlast capitalism, like fighting student worker unions!
Beyond the campus, DSA is also winning at the polls. This year we have seen the incredible success of Zohran Mamdani’s first term as NYC Mayor, won contested congressional primaries with DSA candidates, and built up an electoral program powered by the organized working class.
University of Delaware
Sanctuary Campaign Win!

After 8 international students at the University of Delaware had their visas revoked without due process by the Department of Homeland Security in April 2025, YDSA at UD sprung into action. YDSA at UD finally won their sanctuary campus campaign in Spring 2026, after a year pressuring the University of Delaware administration to protect and stand up for its international students! This monumental win includes UDPD’s affirmation to not collaborate with ICE, as well as the clear delineation of limited vs. public access spaces on campus. In Fall 2026, the University of Delaware will be expanding on its sanctuary campus policies by implementing limited key-card access to all campus buildings, so that all students, faculty and staff’s rights are clear and protected in all campus spaces. This win is one of many as YDSA chapters across the country mobilize to fight for international and immigrant students everywhere!
University of Florida
Kicked DHS Recruiters OUT

The Department of Homeland Security recruits students across the country into the fascist deportation machine, but UF YDSA said no! With their pressure campaign the DHS was forced to cancel their recruitment event. This is a big victory but the fight against ICE is still not over. Now YDSA is fighting for UF to stop ALL collaboration with ICE and end their 287(g) agreement.
University of Oregon
Medicated Abortion on Campus!

After a years long struggle UO YDSA ran a mass canvassing operation alongside negotiations with administration to secure Medication Abortion access right on their campus!
Here’s some more info about the support you’ll get through the Fall Drive:
Fall Drive Launch Call
This call is primarily for members of every chapter that wants to grow and contest power with a real nationwide movement for socialism. At this workshop, you’ll get the opportunity to learn our national priorities and work with and learn from student leaders from chapters across the country. We’ll have strategic discussions about building a vibrant, mass community, how to talk about being a member, and having a strong first meeting. Invite your whole chapter and OC to attend! This year, we have 2 launch calls to accommodate more schedules! Can’t make it on Monday, August 10? No worries – Sign up for the launch call on Tuesday, August 11!
Fall Drive Workshops
To start off the year, we’re holding three core workshops to get every member of every chapter ready for the first week of school. The first workshop is the previously mentioned Launch Call.
The second workshop will focus on how to scale up your community outreach, make a larger and easier to run tabling program, and rely on existing relationships to build power. We’ll be running it on both Wednesday, August 19th and Thursday, August 20th!
The third workshop will focus on investing in the future leaders of the socialist movement (even Zohran was a campus organizer!) by building healthy, democratic, and collective cultures for our chapters. Every member is responsible for a chapter’s culture, so this too is a workshop for everyone, not just chapter leaders! We’ll be running on Monday, August 24th and Tuesday, August 25th. All calls take place at 5 pm PT/6 pm MT/7 pm CT/8 pm ET.
New Chapter Trainings
We’ve designed this training specifically for students starting new YDSA chapters or trying to revive or relaunch chapters that have gone dormant. We’ll start with organizing basics and give you everything you need to jumpstart your chapter this Fall. No prior organizing experience necessary!
